Already one of Europe’s most up-and-coming superyacht marina destinations, Porto Montenegro is to be given a further boost with the opening of a new luxury hotel this coming August.

Situated at the heart of the Porto Montenegro marina development, the Regent Hotel will be run independently by Regent Hotels and Resorts and will feature a total of 86 double rooms, suites and residences, most offering stunning sea and mountain views.

The five-storey hotel was designed by ReardonSmith Architects and was inspired by the Renaissance Venetian style of ornate Italian palaces that are dotted around the local area. Notable amenities will include a ballroom complete with sea view, three bars and restaurants, a gourmet delicatessen and a pristine Italian garden at the rear.

A 24-hour concierge service will ensure all visitors’ needs are met, and will include an extravagant boat service that will chauffeur guests to a secluded beach across the bay.

The new hotel opening is just the latest stage in the on-going expansion of Porto Montengro into a truly world class luxury marina resort. Already home to a state-of-the-art yacht club with full sailing facilities, a stunning lido pool and beach club, a day spa, upscale restaurants and bars and over 40 high-end retail outlets, it plans to continue its growth over the coming years with more luxury apartments and increased marina capacity already in construction.

Currently the marina features 250 berths for yachts up to 150 metres and work is already underway to expand that to 420 berths.

The Regent Hotel Porto Montenegro is easily accessible via three international airports – Tivat (4,6km), Dubrovnik (47km) and Podgorica (90km). All offer good connections for charter and scheduled airlines, as well as landing facilities for private aircraft. Additionally, helicopter transfers will be available to the hotel from both Podgorica and Dubrovnik airports.

Founded in 1970 as a joint venture between legendary hotelier Robert H Burns and Japan’s Tokyu Hotels group, Regent Hotels and Resorts currently operates hotels in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and America.
