The house is really well located in the fairly quiet village of Perast. Walk down the stone steps and your at the seafront with a nice restaurant on your left. The seafront road of the village is closed to most traffic making strolling around Perast very pleasurable. It is a beautiful village with a dozen or so restaurants. Amanda and her local host, Ana, were incredibly accommodating and helpful and responded to all of our queries really promptly. Ana helped organise activities for us and provided advice to supplement that in the guide book in the house. Having toured around the Bay of Kotor we felt that Perast was the nicest village to stay in because of the unspoilt architecture, range of restaurants and relaxing feel.

We had a very nice stay in Villa Hollick in Perast, Montenegro. The house is cute and spacious and is located right by the water. We especially enjoyed the terrace that had a beautiful view to the sea. The only problems we experienced was a very loud water heater that was creaking after every use of water, a broken light in the kitchen and a broken toaster. But other than that we had no problems. Amanda is the perfect host. We had all the information we could possibly want before arrival and was greeted and sent off by Anna at the house, who was also available if we needed anything. We felt very welcome and taken care of and would definately recommend both Villa Hollick and Perast as a vacation destination.

I went to Perast on family holiday, and I'm glad we booked the house for whole ten days. It was just the perfect size for everyone and terrace in front was very welcome. The sea is 30 seconds away, just jump off a ponta, or 15 min taxi or drive to Orahovac or Bajova Kula for pebbled beaches if you want a change. The house is also in the quiet end of the village, away from day trippers going to Gospa od Skrpjela, yet it had a decent restaurant nearby and a few shops. And the most picturesque firefighters house that our kids were very much taken by (they were even allowed to play driving one of their trucks!). Perast is also well positioned for exploring the rest of the Bay of Kotor, so it has it all: quiet, decent food, sea and culture. Amanda was an amazing host, communication has always been kind and prompt, and Ana, the housekeper, looked after us well. Can't recommend it enough.

Very comfortable well equipped house. Just a few minutes from restaurants. Quiet but central location. Good wifi. Good local info provided by owner. Anna ( local contact) was helpful. Loved swimming from stone jetties close to house. Short journey by car to Kotor. Enjoyed walking city walls. Also liked walks on hillside on other side of bay opposite Perast.

Great Weekend in Perast

Date of Stay  30 August 2013

We stayed at the villa for three nights (3 adults, 2 kids) and had a wonderful stay. The villa is very comfortable and an easy walk to all the sights in town. It's also an easy drive too many of the other places to see in Montenegro. We used it as our staging area and spent the weekend exploring the area. We highly recommend it!

We had a lovely week in Perast and were very happy with Villa Hollick. We found it comfortable, clean and in a nice quiet location, yet only one row back from the waterfront. Maybe we were particularly lucky with the weather, it was certainly better than we expected for end April/early May, but we were able to make full use of the terrace for breakfast and drinks in the evening. We didn't really cook at the house as there were quite a few restaurants within walking distance of the villa, one or two were still shut but the advantages of being there early in the season was that we were able to park on the waterfront without any problem, only a few steps from the house. We explored a lot of the area duing our week but felt Perast was the most beautiful village on the Kotor Bay.

Dear Amanda,

This is just a quick note to say thank you for the use of your Villa in Perast , which is very nice. We had a really good holiday and the wedding that we came for went off well too. Almost everyone we met was very friendly, our only small dispute being with the car park attendants who charged us 10 Euro a day to park our minibus?

Hello Amanda,

We are so enjoying our days in Perast. It is a truly special place. We wanted to ask if we could stay for two extra days. There is only one bus a week to our next destination and it departs on Sunday. Schedules have changed as it is the end of the season. Please let us know your thoughts.
Warm regards,

We are very happy with our stay in Perast. The villa is really lovely. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain, but we were able to visit what we wanted when there was sunshine. Ana has really welcomed us and continued to be available if we needed.
We'll gladly recommend this place and stay at Villa Hollick. it was great and we thank you.
soon perhaps

Sincerely

Charming house situated to Perast, one of the most beautiful villages of the bay of Kotor. Big house on 3 levels, comfortable and well equipped (miss a few kitchenware). Ideal for 6 persons. The small shaded court allows to take all its outdoor meals. The house is situated in some meter of the edge of the water, separated by a small little busy road. The environment is very quiet. We spent a very pleasant stay and we recommend you this house, as well as Montenegro and bay of Kotor. "

We couldnt have asked for more - The Villa was like home from home. It was lovely to arrive after a days travelling to find that snacks, tea, coffee and milk had been left for us and the complimentary bottle of wine was very welcome in the evening. The property was immaculate with modern appliances and a really comfy bed.

Perast's central location in the bay is perfect for driving to the best sights, beaches and restaurants (we loved eating at Stari Mlini). As we travelled around the area, we soon realised that we were staying in the nicest village and wouldnt be tempted to stay elsewhere in the future. We fell in love with Montenegro's amazing scenery and vowed to return to the Villa Hollick as soon as we can.

My husband and I spent a week at Villa Hollick in Perast in August 2010. Perast is a wonderfully pretty village with just the right number of bars and restaurants to give variety while maintaining tranquility. Our favourite was Hotel Conte Nautica's restaurant - great service, wonderful food - we felt like regulars by the end of the week.

Perast's setting in the bay of Kotor is simply spectacular. I don't think I'd ever tire of the view of the bay and I really hope Montenegro manages to maintain its beauty and does not allow the environment and water to be degraded by over use of speed boats and too many tourists. Perast is perfectly located to explore the bay of Kotor. We're a very lazy couple on holiday and for this reason we didn't bother hiring a car (we took a taxi from Dubrovnik airport) but we were still able to move around the bay very easily via the local bus service. Kotor is well worth a a visit - a really beautiful old town which is not quite as overloaded with tourists as Dubrovnik. I heard Kotor gets very loud and busy at night times - Montenegrins like their dance music - so I was pleased to not be staying there for the night.

The villa itself is beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, a lovely terrace and satellite TV. We much appreciated the DVD player during the hot lunchtime hours and managed to watch the entire Sopranos series one while we were there. Swimming from outside the villa is nice and there are lots of places to sunbathe on the seafront. It was very hot while we were there so we tended to spend our days on the shady terrace.

Much like my comments about the bay of Kotor generally the Perast authorities need to make sure that the village stays clean - littering and open bins do seem to be a problem there but I would say that's the only negative point about our visit. We'd highly recommend Perast and Villa Hollick - a truly delightful place to stay.

Villa Hollick fulfilled all our expetations for this summer. Everything worked fine especially the air conditioning was very helpfull during some very hot days. We liked to stay in this nice stone house in the middle of Perast, which is the town where our ancestors lived till beginning of the 20th century. There was enough place for our big family(5 of our children, one doughter in law and grandma). We tried the restaurants and recommend all of them. All the sevicing people in the market, in the restaurents, the guides on the island and in the church were very friendly to us. Some nice people helped us to find the traces of our family. We could go to the normally closed cementry and even to to the island of St.George, which is closed for tourists.
Bathing only some steps from our house was wonderfull especially in the evening after climbing up the mountains in the Kotor region.
It was bathing between the mountains like in our country Austria but with the difference of a warm sea.
I can recommend the region of Kotor and the nice villa Hollick to all our friends. It was the top event of our summer.

We just returned from a blissful week in Villa Hollick in Perast. What a fantastic place to stay. The villa was supremely comfortable with duvets to die for (we even tried to get the same covers made in Kotor as they were so wonderful!) and all the mod cons you might need. The location was fantastic. Just a few metres away from the water front but not too close as to be on the village road itself. The views from the villa were outstanding and we spent many hours sitting on the lovely terrace watching the world go by. One of the real treats of staying in Perast was early evening walks up and around the little paths through the village and up the hill behind the villa. We even found wild herbs growing in the nooks of the ancient walls. Just walk from the villa and get lost along the little paths nearby - as you climb higher the views just get better and better. Another treat was morning cappucino in the restaurant of Hotel Conti - heaven. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend Villa Hollick.

I just wanted to tell you that we enjoyed our stayin Perast. The house, thecountryside are very nice, and there is no doubt wewould like to go back some other time!

The contact Ana was very good. She hasbeen very helpful to us. For example, we arrived late the first day, and shewas waiting for us.

We tried two restaurants in Perast ( Conte and Admiral), near the sea, and it was very nice too. we found thepeople smily, and relax.... all what we look for inholidays!
